Elbflorace

In the 13th year we, Elbflorace, about 60 students of TU Dresden and HTW Dresden, participated in the international design competition Formula Student.
Despite increased difficulties in manufacturing by Corona, we were able to achieve good results in the past season. We succeeded in constructing our racing car in such a way that it is possible for us to convert it within approx. 30min between the normal manned electrical operation and the driverless operation.
This gives us experience for the coming years and the changes in the Formula Student.

Last year we drove our car to Austria, the Netherlands and Hockenheim and competed in Hungary at FS-East as an autonomous car.
Unfortunately we had technical problems in the autonomous disciplines, so we could not complete the dynamic disciplines. But compared to the last years we could improve our performance in the electric competitions.
So we could achieve the following results:

– Formula Student Austria – 5th place
– Formula Student Netherlands – 1st place
– Formula Student Germany – 3rd place

As we have been doing for a long time, we were supported by Eurocircuits with printed circuit boards. Eurocircuits convinces with their products through quality, which is why we have also installed their circuit boards in our Accumulator, as well as in our safety system this year. The short and reliable delivery time makes it easier for us to assemble our electrical system, because we can rely on our schedule.

Therefore we are very happy that the cooperation will continue in the coming season.
