2018 – what will the future bring? A glimpse at our plans!

Another year has passed and it is now time to look forward to the new year and what benefits Eurocircuits will bring to Designers and the electronics market.

We have adopted several philosophies which have made us the innovative company that we are today.

Our key goals are:

  • To provide the tools to electronic engineers to validate and visualize their design
  • To provide 24/7 accessibility to utilize these tools and receive offers and place orders
  • To provide a quality of service and delivery you can rely on
  • To provide information to help everyone understand the PCB manufacturing process
  • To provide a complete one-stop shop to realise your design from CAD to Assembly.

These principles are fixed in our company culture and are continually evolving to ensure that we stay ahead in the ever changing environment that is the prototype electronics market as does the environment and nature of the prototype electronics.

With this in mind we would like to share with you our forecast of developments that we aim to bring to you during 2018, we have written a short blog where you can read about our visions for this year. Click on the picture to read our blog.

Eurocircuits launches – eurocircuits.tv

PCB Services | eC Solutions
Eurocircuits launches eurocircuits.tv!

Eurocircuits have created a lot of media to help our clients achieve the most cost effective solution for their prototype PCBS, this includes design guidelines, BLOGs and Videos.

Interestingly, we see that our video made over 5 years ago how a 4 layer PCB is made is by far the most successful communication we have made and used by many educational institutes to education the future designers and engineers.

We noticed 2 things based on this, our customers want to know how their designs are made and that the most captivating medium today is video.

During 2017 we built 2 dedicated film studios so that we could focus on providing more insight and training material in bitesize chucks with our Eurocircuits.tv and our Insight Technology.

We will continue to produce these informative videos to provide closer connection to you about our tools, processes and developments.

And we have some fun while we are making it !

Why not take a look for yourself at our Eurocircuits TV and see how you can benefit.

Summer holidays are over - share your technical insights
Summer Holidays are over.

We are beginning of September and suspect that your Summer Holidays are over. Hope it brought you all the rest you needed and the necessary energy to be creative with Printed Circuit Boards for the remaining of 2017.

We did not take a Summer Break and are, as we ever were, ready to receive your designs. Our free online tools for PCB and PCBA DRC/DFM are running 24/7 and our online customer interface for receiving orders is also open 24/7.

Should you have any questions about any of our services, please feel free to get in touch and we will be more than happy to help. Try out our online chat!  during office hours.

Share your technical insights with us and we will publish it on our website.

Since our call for papers on the 25th of July, we received some great stories from you. As we suspected electronic designers are very enthusiastic about sharing their technical insights with their colleagues of the Eurocircuits customers design community.

What better platform than our’ community: more than 600.000 visitors to our .com website, 60.000 subscribers to our newsletter (English and German) and many followers on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter. All our technical papers whether they are published as webpage or BLOG are communicated through these various channels to our European electronic designer community.

After screening all incoming papers for relevant content, copyright and legal issues we published the following:

  • How to Prevent Emission Problems on Board LevelTestkort MultiScan-2 3D – NEW
Posted on behalf of CNRood, active in the BeNeLux & Sweden.
For many, the result of an EMC test comes as an unpleasant surprise. Large amounts of money and time are spent in re-designing the product, which causes heavy delays. The main cause of these additional costs and delays can be related to the designer’s opportunities, knowledge and desire to perform an EMC test on the product as early as possible. In this article, the author will give some simple advice and examples of test methods useful for avoiding undesired emission.
  • Suitability of an enhanced low melting point alloy for a handheld deviceVibration & shock testing – NEW
Posted on behalf of Interflux Electronics NV.
Current lead-free soldering temperatures can damage temperature sensitive components. Moreover they can cause a shift in the properties of some components which can impact the functionality of sensitive electronic devices. An easy way to solve this problem is to use a soldering alloy with a lower melting point that allows for lower soldering temperatures. Currently however these alloys have limitations in shock and vibration resistance.
  • Intelligent Power Switch for Raspberry PiiSwitchPi – NEW
Posted on behalf of Peter Boxler.
A Raspberry Pi does not have an On/Off switch and there is no easy way to shutdown the Pi while keeping the file system intact. This Intelligent Power Switch brings a clever solution to this problem: Power-On the Pi by pressing a pushbutton and also properly Power-Off the Pi with another press on the same button.
  • Low-cost calibrator delivers -5V to +10V DS with 70-µV errorFigure 4 – NEW
Posted on behalf of Jordan Dimitrov.
Calibration, the stage of truth in the design of every test and measurement device, is done with calibrators, sophisticated highly accurate multifunctional instruments, which cost thousands of dollars. In many cases however you do not need to go to the edge of technology.

If you are an active Eurocircuits’ customer and you feel like you have some interesting story to share with our Eurocircuits community, then please send it to us by e-mail. We will evaluate the content and if it fits the scope of what we publish then we will take it on board and inform you of it.

Furthermore there are some nice new Eurocircuits BLOGs and Student Team stories to be explored in their sections here below.

De PCBA “right first time” is ons motto.

Eurocircuits doesn’t take a Summer break.

PCB Services | eC Solutions
Eurocircuits doesn’t take a summer break since your project deadlines don’t either
Eurocircuits doesn’t take a summer break since your project deadlines don’t either

Our full range of PCB manufacturing services is available throughout the year. We have no summer shutdown; we only close the plant for Christmas and New Year.

As a board designer you need to be confident that your PCB supplier can offer fast and reliable deliveries whenever you need them. To achieve this needs experienced and specialist capacity planning. With no summer shut-down we must have spare capacity to accommodate machine downtime for planned maintenance, as well as to meet demand growth and demand spikes. We have generated this extra capacity through ongoing investments in new plant and equipment. Capacity planning has allowed us to handle demand growth, as well as routine maintenance, without weakening our on-time delivery rate.

And if something goes wrong? Where possible we have duplicated processes and machinery, and we have two plants in Europe geared specifically to PCB prototype production, both using the same business model we have refined over the past 26 years.

Our production staff are committed to providing a continuous service with reliable deliveries all year round. Our support engineers are equally committed to sharing our knowledge of PCB fabrication with the design community. They make sure that there are engineers on hand every day to answer your chat requests.

To see one of our factories in action, go to the video of the Eger, Hungary factory or in more detail How to make a PCB, also filmed in Eger. See another reason why, when you place your order, you can be confident that you will get the right board on the right day.

If you have any questions about this or any other service please feel free to get in touch and we will be more than happy to help. Try out our online chat!
