Global Formula Racing (GFR) is more than just a formula student team. It is an international collaboration between DHBW Ravensburg in Germany and Oregon State University in the United States, bringing together students from different backgrounds, cultures and disciplines.

What connects us is a shared goal: to design and build a fully electric race car from scratch, year after year. That means long nights, countless design iterations, and constant problem-solving across time zones. It also means learning how to trust each other’s work and combining ideas into one cohesive system.

Our self developed PCBs are the backbone of our car. Without them it does not function. While we develop new iterations year after year, it is important to have a strong partner in manufacturing these often very little design marvels.

Eurocircuits helps us bring our concepts into reality and therefore enabling the monitoring and control functions required to meet current regulations. With Eurocircuits, we gain the quality and precision needed to make that happen. This partnership brings us closer to a car that is not only fast, but ready. Ready to pass inspection, ready to compete, and ready to prove itself on track.

But building a race car is not just about performance. In engineering, even the best design means nothing if it does not meet the rules. Safety, reliability, and compliance are what turn a concept into something that is actually allowed on track.

One of the most critical and most heavily regulated parts of our car is the battery. It is not just another component. The battery is a system that has to work safely and predictably under all conditions. Getting it right is essential, not only for performance, but for passing inspection and being able to compete at all.

In order to meet new regulations, we introduce a new iteration of our self made BMS (Battery Measurement System).
