PCB Classification - pattern class and drill class

We use “pattern classes” and “drill classes” as convenient shorthand to measure the manufacturability of the PCB.

This controls whether the board can be made in our pooling services (PCB proto, STANDARD pool, TECH pool, IMS pool) and controls the price if the board is made in On demand. This classification is used as a basis in our design rules made available for certain CAD programs ( currently for Cadsoft Eagle )

For more information download the current Classification table .

Following classifications are used for our services:

  • PCB proto: Pattern class 6 - Drill class C
  • STANDARD pool: Pattern class 6 - Drill Class C
  • TECH pool: Pattern class 8 - Drill class D
  • IMS pool: Pattern class 6 - Drill calss C
  • ON DEMAND: Maximum Pattern class 9 - Drill class D
