We are FST Lisboa, a formula student team from Portugal that has been building racing cars for more than 20 years, having built 13 prototypes, 10 being electric and 4 of those with autonomous capabilities.

The main goals for this year’s prototype is to implement self-made inverters and have at least 300 km of testing. Achieving this will be no easy task, since we are changing such a critical system. However, with our experience, we believe that we are capable of achieving these goals.

Currently, in addition to the development of our inverters, we are also preparing our testbench and manufacturing our main PCB’s so they can be tested, in order to guarantee the reliability we are looking for.Luckily, with Eurocircuits we can rely on PCB data processing which they provide for our designs before each one of them goes on to production, ensuring further the integrity of our PCBs.

A central piece of this testbench is our Mini sensor2can board. This PCB is responsible for acquiring the analog voltage of all the sensors in the car and converting its readings to a CAN message with the physical values

The way the PCB was designed allows us to implement the filtering that we want for each sensor, which makes this PCB very versatile and allows us to use it in all the sensor acquisitions that we have. In addition to this, it is very small and easy to fit in any part of the car.

Furthermore, the manufacturing speed and quality of Eurocircuits gives us an extra confidence on the quality of our car, which is essential to achieve our goals.
