Engineering Control: How FS Vitoria Built a Reliable Electrical System

About Formula Student Vitoria:

We’re a Formula Student team located in Vitoria, Spain, from the University of the Basque country that has competed at FSUK at Silverstone and FSPT at Castelo Branco this past season.

Eurocircuits role in the team:

A key part about the electrical system are the PCBs and ECUs, wich are designed by the members of our team. The PCBs makes part of almost the entirety of our electrical security system, they manage both low and high voltage. And the ECUs (Electronic control units) makes all the piloting and the monitoring of our vehicle, all of them designed and programmed by members of our team.TOR (VI)

Thanks to Eurocircuits we can turn these designs to reality, they’ve made all our PCBs and ECUs for this year’s car, all of them gave very good results and helped us build a very robust and reliable electrical system. With their support we can keep moving forward and pushing the boundaries of our team.

Below you can see some pictures of some PCBs and ECUs installed in our car, and a close one of the Pedals ECU. Which we use it monitoring the travel of both accelerator and brake pedal and also the direction travel.
