Eurocircuits uses cross sections as part of its quality control
Cross sections are a power tool that ensures high quality production and products.
Preparation of a cross section is a destructive process, a section of the production panel is cut out, in most cases a specially designed Test coupon is used (these are placed on every panel).
The removed section is mounted in a special jig and encased in resin, an automated system then grinds and polishes the surface until the actual section to be inspected is visible.
Using high powered microscopes our quality department inspect a variety of features, for a plated through hole the plating thickness, plating uniformity and drill alignment would be checked and measured. For an Outer layer the copper track width, plating thickness and uniformity would be checked and measured. If solder mask is present the thickness and uniformity of it would be measured.
Eurocircuits recently introduced via filling. Cross sections were used in the initial set up to ensure the process provided consistent and high quality results.
Cross sections can be taken at any step of the production cycle and is a critical part of the Eurocircuits quality procedures and it enables us to provide our customers with high quality products time and time again.

“How do we make IMS boards?”, explained on Eurocircuits TV.
All the details about our movie can be read in text form in our BLOG.
We publish articles as tip & tricks or videos on Eurocircuits TV to help our designer customers to maximise their efficiency by using our tools. We also publish seminars on how to use our smart tools. Here is one: “Introduction to Eurocircuits’ smart tools: PCB Configurator, PCB Visualizer”
Here we release articles about our eC-equipment and their use.

Since EAGLE V8 Autodesk brought a lot of new functionality into EAGLE, there are some significant improvements that definitely help design engineers to get their work done. Electronic design is no longer a stand-alone task. Most electronics is part of a complex product and this development needs interaction with for example mechanical design.
EAGLE now offers a seamless connection between ECAD and MCAD. Part of this process is the assignment of 3D models to the EAGLE packages. Schematics now can be simulated with the built-in “ngspice” simulator. Simulation results and plots are visible immediately. Export for manufacturing data is much easier and comprehensive.
Including new data export options. Component libraries are now managed. You will always be up-to-date with newest libraries available from our content server.
This workshop, for the very first time organized in Belgium (Sint-Katelijne-Waver, near Mechelen)>, will be given by Mr Richard Hammerl from Autodesk and offers you a quick start into EAGLE. You learn the basics of EAGLE so you will be able to start your own projects.

Traditions are to be upheld. Eurocircuits is again on of the strong holds of the gadget project. This year at the World of Electronics, one of the 5 worlds present at World of Technology & Science, you can participate in the PROXIMO project.
PROXIMO is a proximity sensor linked to a smart phone which results into a proximity application to be used during the exhibition but with various possibilities after the exhibition as well. The gadget is based on the Nordic 5.0 Bluetooth Low Energy chip. Eurocircuits customer IDEETRON is the developer of the electronics and Hogeschool Arnhem Nijmegen programs the app for the smart phone.
The only procedure to obtain the PROXIMO is to register for the exhibition World of Electronics and to physically collect the gadget at the exhibition. Do Register Free here and collect your PROXIMO in Utrecht from the 2nd of October till the 5th.
Eurocircuits TV visited the FHI head quarter in Leusden, Holland. This introduction movie for the Proximo project was the result.
You can find Eurocircuits at the World of Electronics on Booth 11F030. Come and say hello and let us tell you all about Eurocircuits, our PCB and PCBA services and many free to use powerful tools.
