On Your Marks, Get Set, Go: Formula Student 2024 is Underway!

The batteries are charged, the tension rises – the Formula Student 2024 season kicks off, and we are thrilled that so many of our PCBs are part of the action. This unique competition brings together student teams from across Europe who showcase their self-developed electric race cars.

The competition isn’t just about speed and acceleration; it embodies the diligence, passion, and teamwork of young tech enthusiasts who pour their hearts into creating innovative and high-performing vehicles. We are proud to support these talented students as they push the boundaries of electric vehicle technology and engineering excellence.

Formula Student is an international design competition with participants from over 20 countries and more than 600 universities. Students from various disciplines not only design and build electric-powered race cars, which may be autonomously driven or manually controlled, but they must also demonstrate the economic and environmental viability of their projects. It’s a race that equally demands team spirit and creativity.

PCBs, PCB Assemblies, Tools, and Practical Tips

For 20 years, Eurocircuits has supported teams throughout Europe competing in Formula Student. We provide not just the essential PCBs and PCBAs for these electric powerhouses – we also share in the excitement with teams as they test and race on the tracks. With 90 active projects this year, it feels like a piece of us is in every one of these electric racers.
Twice a year, the teams share their stories with us and illustrate where our circuit boards and assemblies are integrated within their vehicles. Check it out!

Our support extends beyond just manufacturing and assembling PCBs. In workshops, we impart essential knowledge about reliable PCBs design to the electronics developers of the teams, providing practical experiences that are invaluable for dependable hardware.
