aCentauri Solar Racing: Triumph in the Australian Outback

aCentauri Solar Racing’s Debut at the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge

With just one year of preparation, aCentauri Solar Racing was the sole newcomer team to complete the 3’000 km journey through the Australian Outback. Being among the 12 Teams that reached the finish line marks a significant first step for the team on their journey to the top.

The teams journey started in Adelaide where the solar car arrived after shipping. After a few days of vehicle checks, final improvements, and preparation of escort vehicles, aCentauri Solar Racing headed north. Along the way to Darwin, the team familiarized themselves with the entire route they would later traverse with their solar car.

After some testing and scrutineering in Darwin, the race began.
