Formula Electric Belgium Hits Historic Milestone

Looking back on the most successful season in the history of Formula Electric Belgium
The past season marked a historic milestone for Formula Electric Belgium and will be remembered as the most successful year in the team’s existence. In May, the team proudly unveiled its latest electric race car, the TMC Falcon, a vehicle that embodied months of innovation, testing, and dedication. Equipped with advanced technology, including high-quality PCBs supplied by Eurocircuits, the TMC Falcon represented a significant step forward in performance and reliability.

With this car, the team competed internationally in the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and Germany, consistently demonstrating growth both on and off the track.
Strong Competition Results Across Europe

For the first time in the team’s history, Formula Electric Belgium successfully completed every single manual dynamic event at all competitions attended, a major achievement that highlighted the car’s reliability and the team’s operational excellence.
One of the season’s standout moments came at Formula Student Netherlands, where the team secured an impressive 3rd place in the Efficiency discipline. This result showcased not only the performance of the TMC Falcon, but also the effectiveness of the team’s energy management and overall vehicle concept.
Another historic breakthrough was achieved at Formula Student Germany, where Formula Electric Belgium successfully completed the Driverless Trackdrive. This accomplishment marked the first time in Belgian history that a team achieved this milestone, underlining the team’s growth in autonomous systems.
Across all competitions, the team consistently scored at least 500 points out of a possible 1000, reflecting a season defined by reliability, consistency, and technical progress.
Eurocircuits: A Key Partner in Reliability

These results would not have been possible without the continued support of our long-time partner, Eurocircuits. Over the past year, Eurocircuits delivered multiple high-quality PCBs, including fully assembled Battery Management System (BMS) slave boards. Thanks to their professional assembly, the team did not need to worry about soldering quality or reliability issues.
The slave PCBs play a crucial role within the battery system: they continuously measure and communicate cell voltages and temperatures from each battery module to the BMS master unit. This accurate and reliable data flow ensured a highly dependable battery pack throughout the season, contributing directly to the car’s strong performance and consistency during competitions.
Ambitions for the Upcoming Season
Building on this momentum, Formula Electric Belgium has set ambitious goals for the coming season. The team aims to increase its total score from 500 to at least 550 points by further refining the car’s design and performance.
A key focus area will be weight reduction, alongside the development of an entirely new battery pack for the next-generation car. To support this, the team has already designed new power and slave PCBs. Prototype versions of these boards, once again delivered by Eurocircuits, have arrived with exceptionally fast turnaround times. This allows the team to thoroughly test, debug, and validate the designs before placing orders for the final production versions.
Continuous Improvement Through Strong Partnerships
Year after year, Formula Electric Belgium strives to improve every aspect of its car, and this would not be possible without reliable partners. Eurocircuits continues to play a vital role by consistently meeting the team’s PCB needs and delivering outstanding quality and service.
With a successful season behind us and exciting developments ahead, Formula Electric Belgium is more motivated than ever to push boundaries, innovate further, and achieve even greater results in the seasons to come!
