Hyperloop UPV

As we approach the culmination of this edition of Hyperloop UPV, we are preparing to participate in the highly anticipated European Hyperloop Week competition in just one month’s time. This year-long journey has been filled with dedication and hard work, and we are thrilled to showcase the remarkable vehicle we have meticulously designed, competing against more than 30 esteemed international teams.

Throughout this edition, we have placed a strong emphasis on improving the reliability of our electronics, and we owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Eurocircuits for their invaluable support. Their provision of high-quality printed circuit boards (PCBs) has been instrumental in equipping our vehicle with the necessary components for achieving levitation and traction.

The Levitation Control Units (LCUs) and Levitation Power Units (LPUs) have been instrumental in our pursuit of excellence. The LCUs read data from various levitation control and safety sensors, applying precise control algorithms to the PWMs that drive each H-Bridge. The LPUs, controlled by the LCUs, ensure optimal power management, and monitor critical parameters, such as battery voltages and currents. These essential components, made possible by Eurocircuits’ PCBs, have significantly contributed to the reliability and performance of our vehicle.

In addition to our focus on electronics, the Propulsion Power Units (PPUs) and Propulsion Control Unit (PCU) have been key players in our success. The PPUs, housed in the front fiberglass electronics box, regulate current flow through each Linear Induction Motor (LIM), while the PCU manages both PPUs by executing precise control algorithms based on desired vehicle speed.
