Joanneum Racing Graz: Mid-Season Update JR26

We are proud to start this update with some great news: the latest Formula Student world ranking has been released, and we are P2 worldwide. With this last achievement of the JR25 the season is now officially over, and our workshop is fully focused on the next car: the JR26.

We are in the manufacturing phase, and a big step is done: all new PCBs for the JR26 have arrived from Eurocircuits. We’re currently assembling and testing them.

Our design continues to follow a modular approach, allowing us to reuse proven systems and focus development on new or improved components.

The biggest changes for the 2026 season include improvements to our Power Control Unit. For our Inverter power boards, we are using 70μm copper PCBs, which help us achieve a compact, high-power design.

What’s Next?

With the PCBs assembled and tested, the next step is to install them into their enclosures and begin integrating everything into the car. This is where all the subsystems come together for full testing.
