Raceyard : From Newcomers to Champions

We are Raceyard, the Formula Student team of the University of Applied Sciences Kiel and the northernmost team in Germany.

Since 2006, we have been participating in Formula Student, where we impressed with our debut season by becoming the best newcomer on the international stage. After switching to an electric powertrain, we have been racing on tracks around the world every year since 2012. Since our founding, 17 unique vehicles have been developed.

The vehicle of the 2023 season will certainly remain a positive memory for all team members for a long time, as it allowed us to win our first overall victory in our history. However, it’s not just every team member who is involved in the success, but also all our sponsors. They make it possible for our goals and dreams to come true. For example, Eurocircuits produced our 8-layer PCB busbars for us. These stand out due to the integration of the high-current path directly into the PCB of the battery management system and its function as a heatsink at the same time.

This enables us to produce battery modules smaller and lighter than ever before, and even in extreme outdoor temperatures, to keep the battery cells in the ideal temperature range. This is how the T-Kiel A 23 E was able to convince with its outstanding performance in any environment.

When working on complex projects like this, questions are inevitable, but Eurocircuits’ customer support has always been quick and solution-oriented in resolving them. The quality also speaks for itself after hundreds of kilometers of racing.
