Eurocircuits provides Strohm und Söhne with high-quality printed circuit boards (PCBs), which are tailored to meet the specific needs of our racing cars. As an experienced PCB manufacturer and assembly service producer, Eurocircuits understands the unique challenges faced by individual Formula Student teams and therefore offers customised solutions to help us excel in the competitive sport.

Before working together with Eurocircuits, our circuit boards were manufactured in China. Making the switch to our new supplier, we are now equipped with higher quality products than in the previous seasons. In addition, the given budget allows us several benefits. We can fabricate more complex PCBs, which consist of four or more layers, in comparison to two-layered PCBs. This enables more compact and technologically advanced designs. To top it off, the new budget permits the acquisition of high-quality components, as we no longer bear the costs of PCB productions.

Behold our AMS (Accumulator Management System) PCB, a vital component in our race car. Its primary function is to monitor the voltage and temperatures of the lithium cells, ensuring the safety of the accumulator system. Currently, the PCB is designed as a two-layer configuration. In collaboration with Eurocircuits, we aim to enhance the AMS by transitioning to a more compact four or six-layer PCB stack up.
