Team Starcraft in 2023

When building an electric racing car, circuit boards are some of the most crucial components. They perform various tasks, such as evaluating sensors or monitoring and controlling processes within the vehicle. We, Team Starcraft from Thuringia, have been developing fully electric race cars as a Formula Student Team since 2011. Sourcing new circuit boards from our partners every year. At TU Ilmenau, we offer students from all disciplines the opportunity to gain practical experience within the framework of our exciting project. With our race cars, we compete in seasonal Formula Student competitions across Europe against other teams.

Collaboration

As a Formula Student Team, we rely on the support of partners in procuring our parts. As the completion of our race cars would not be possible without them. This season, we collaborated with Eurocircuits for the first time in producing the circuit boards for our TSC-7E. We had a very positive experience. Eurocircuits generously sponsored us with a significant quantity of various circuit boards, for which we are very grateful.

In the Eurocircuits Online Shop, we could easily upload the circuit boards we had designed for our race car. Saving a lot of time on selecting dimensions and specific features. The ordering process was, therefore, very pleasant. Following the order, the delivery of the circuit boards was quick and trouble-free. Allowing us to promptly assemble and install them in the TSC-7E.

Among other essential circuit boards, there is, for example, a Fusebox Board that houses a majority of the fuses and monitors the shutdown circuit of our vehicle, a Frontbox Board that evaluates sensors on the gas and brake pedals as well as the steering angle sensor, and an Accudistri Board that monitors and controls processes in the battery.

We are very satisfied with all the circuit boards from Eurocircuits. The installation in our TSC-7E posed no issues, and the boards perform their tasks optimally within its overall system.
