UC Louvain: Robotix Contest

We are 6 from the 27 students from Ma1 ELME mechatronics from UC Louvain and we are about to tell us our story.

Since the beginning of the year, we are working hard to develop our first completely autonomous robot.

Our goal? Competing at the Eurobot contest. But first, we go to the Robotix contest which is the Belgian qualifications for the European one.

Results? One group qualified 1st! Our group qualified 4th, unfortunately just not good enough to go to the European contest. But we did get a price: team’s favourite.

You can see our robot below. Through this, we see the complexity of the task we have embarked on.

Indeed, we had to manage the informatic parts, the mechanical parts … and of course the electronic parts!
